Great news for Windows Virtual Desktop – Microsoft acquires FSLogix

A few hours ago, Microsoft announced that they bought FSLogix. In my opinion that’s great, because FSLogix solves several known problems in VDI and Remote Desktop Services Environments:

  • Profile Management in combination with Office 365
  • OneDrive for Business roaming and caching
  • Outlook performance and search

I’ll hope all FSLogix features will be integrated in Microsoft RDS and Windows Virtual Desktop. If you don’t know FSLogix it’s a bit like User Profile Disks in Standard RDS but does way more than that.
